Monitoring & Evaluation

The work of the County Childcare Committee is monitored internally through the reporting structure and quarterly through the indicators forwarded to POBAL. It is also monitored annually through the annual report.  All financial monitoring procedures are outlined and adhered to as indicated in this manual.

The evaluation process is used by the County Committee to enable it to:

• Clarify and review its aims and objectives
• Identify progress towards the achievement of its aims
• Assess the effectiveness of its methods and approaches
• Encourage articulation of the views of all stakeholders
• Highlight difficulties and challenges
• Recommend changes in its strategy
• Document its work and achievements

The Committee will review its progress against its objectives using the indicators listed in the Strategic Plan.

• Recording of the work and decisions of the committee
• Work reports by staff members
• Recording of network meetings, seminars, etc.
• Evidence of newsletters, mailing, etc.
• Evidence of media coverage
• Photographs
