The following core staff will undertake the named tasks required for the implementation of the county childcare committee strategic plan:
Co-ordination of all aspects of the childcare strategy. Support for LCCC and sub-committee meetings. Liaison with member organizations regarding resources. Overseeing planning, monitoring and evaluation Keeping up-to date with policy development Co-ordination of information and training strategy Overseeing research and consultation tasks.
Administrative support to the LCCC staff and management committee. Establishment and maintenance of financial systems and procedures. Office management and Information provision.

Support new and existing childminders. Develop a programme of information and networking. Develop a training programme with a progression route to accredited training for childminders. Support childminders to access funding.
Support for the establishment of new childcare services. General support for new and existing services including assistance with fundraising, completion of funding applications, securing a premises, developing aims and objectives, developing policies, recruitment of staff, quality programmes, etc.
Assisting services with self-evaluation and developing action plans for quality improvement Co-ordination of the childcare and parents network and toy libraries. Support for LCCC initiatives and projects in the areas of transport, training, information, etc Convening of private providers working group and overseeing strategies for supporting private providers.
Support existing out of school services and assist in the development of new out of school services. Convene an advisor working group on out of school childcare and summer scheme projects. Co-ordination of the childcare and parents network. Develop an information, networking and training programme for out of school providers.
Promotion of health nutrition and physical activities in childcare services. This post was primarily set up to promote and implement food & nutritional guidelines for pre-school services produced by the Health Promotion Unit under the Department of Health & Children.
